Carter Center Senior Associate Director Scott Nash, along with partners at CDC and World Health Organization (WHO), have been working with Drugs and Diagnostics for Tropical Diseases - DDTD.org to develop a rapid diagnostic test kit for using serology. New Global Health Innovative Technology Funds are supporting product development, and the project is expected to enable early detection and appropriate treatment for over 100 million people at risk of blindness and vision loss, significantly advancing the global goal of eliminating trachoma as a public health problem. We are excited to announce this year’s keynote speaker is Dr. Kimberly Won, Health Scientist in the Division of Parasitic Diseases and Malaria at Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). In her role at the CDC, Dr. Won conducts operational research and provides technical assistance related to monitoring and evaluating neglected tropical disease (NTD) control and elimination programs.

Come learn about all things wine tasting, all while enjoying out of this world micro-batch wines, nibbling on delicious small plate foods, and networking with fellow local wine lovers! The event takes place on Saturday, September 10, 2022 from 4-6pm, and will be hosted at The WineSellar & Brasserie, located off of Mira Mesa close to Qualcomm.
