Carter Center Senior Associate Director Scott Nash, along with partners at CDC and World Health Organization (WHO), have been working with Drugs and Diagnostics for Tropical Diseases - DDTD.org to develop a rapid diagnostic test kit for using serology. New Global Health Innovative Technology Funds are supporting product development, and the project is expected to enable early detection and appropriate treatment for over 100 million people at risk of blindness and vision loss, significantly advancing the global goal of eliminating trachoma as a public health problem.
