Build It: Africa partners with trustworthy African men and women. Together, Build It: Africa and these community leaders create a development plan based off of the needs of the community and effectively and organically fill those needs through the local church. Establishing this form of partnership helps in deciding the order of greatest need, helps with cost estimates an
d supplies, provides a solid ground for proclaiming the gospel, and helps the church we work with take a small step towards being self-supported when applicable. Provision
A big part of the Build It: Africa's vision is empowering Africans. By taking a new approach to aid in Africa, we hope to avoid furthering the feeling of dependency and help communities take a small step towards behavioral change by encouraging psychological ownership of structures they helped build. In doing so, we aim to alleviate poverty by promoting health, entrepreneurship and education. Proclamation
Build It: Africa exists because of a love for people. By increasing the influence of local churches and helping them become self-supported while meeting the practical needs of people, the gospel will be advanced while taking a new approach to aid. Our goal is to inspire hope for a better tomorrow, but more importantly, give people hope for eternity.
