The House of Norway's mission is to share its members' Norwegian heritage and the colorful history & rich culture, customs & traditions with each other.

Our membership is just under 150 people and half of the members are active, meaning they participate in hosting at the cottage as well as are a part of all the events that we have. Her

Quarterly Movie Nights, May Lawn Program, 17 Mai celebration, Nordic Nights, Christmas on the Prado and December Nights. We also are good neighbors of the Sons of Norway, Valhall Lodge (lots of Salmon dinners and heritage events) and Sons of Norway Norge Lodge (Viking Festival and Odin Dinner). We welcome anyone who has interest in Norwegian Culture and/or has Norwegian ancestry. Join us for the fun:)

One of our fantastic members, James Jerpseth, recommended an Ethiopian Restaurant named Read Sea on University Ave., so Anne-Lise (native Norwegian) and I went there for a delicious lunch (which it was)! The thing that I thought was extraordinary was that the owner, Shimi (native Ethiopian) and Anne-Lise had a full on conversation in Spanish! Remarkable San Diego!

A huge thank you to all our House of Norway members, families, fellow Norwegians, friends and all guests who joined us to celebrate Norway’s Constitution Day together in Balboa Park, San Diego 🌭🎶🇳🇴

From pølser and smiles to flags waving and laughter across the park, it was a wonderful day filled with community, tradition, and Norwegian spirit ❤️🤍💙

Tusen takk to everyone who came out, helped, celebrated, and made the day so special- It was an absolute blast and it was incredible to see the park filled all the Norwegian joy 🇳🇴✨ Hipp Hipp, Hurra Hurra Hurra!
