πŸ“San Diego, California, USA Hephaestus was the Greek mythological god of blacksmithing.

In the myths, he was fabled to have built the first robots in ancient times to help him move with a crippled leg. We felt this name captures our "powers" in robot building! Our team began in 2010 as Sons of Hephaestus. In 2013 we became a coed team and changed our name to Rise of Hephaestus. RISE (Robotics Inspiring Science and Engineering) is our original sponsor and local nonprofit that provides

resources and funding for STEAM activities to primary and secondary students in the San Diego region. Season history:

We had such a fun day and definitely learned a lot! It was great to see familiar friends and teams plus meet so many new FTC teams!
