San Diego Regional Urban Forests Council

SDRUFC is a member driven coalition of agencies, businesses and educators working to improve our urban forest assets.

We promote the benefits of trees for a cleaner, healthier and more prosperous San Diego region. We serve, inspire and engage community stakeholders by encouraging:

-strong collaborations, partnerships and stewardship
-increase urban forestry awareness and advocacy
-sustainable public education and policies
-professional training and resource development

We are a regional council

of a network of the greater California Urban Forest Council (caufc.org). We work locally to advance urban forestry in our region, educate professionals and stakeholders, and advocate for community trees.

Join the SDRUF council on December 11th for our annual award ceremony as we recognize excellence in urban forestry throughout the San Diego region. This year’s award recipients include Erich Kast, Park Arborist for the City of San Diego, Cuyamaca College Horticulture Program, Groundwork San Diego, Urban Corps of San Diego/City of Vista, and County of San Diego.
