Thank you for having us at your 60th birthday Steve! What an awesome birthday party and we are so happy to be apart of such a huge celebration. We were honored to perform Ouay Phon Thon Hup for your guests.

We would like to thank Tammy and Lee Dinh for the opportunity to allow Aubrey Nambounmy, Alice Xayavong ( ), and Emily Phonhsongkham ( ) to perform Nang Keo at their beautiful wedding on behalf of our dance troupe. Also, big thanks to Selena Somvilay’s ( ) mom for creating such beautiful outfits for our dancers. We could not have pulled this performance off without her expertise.

This song is especially fitting for a loving couple beginning a new journey together. It is dedicated to Princess Keo Kenya, the former queen of Laos, who once ruled alongside her husband, King Chao Fa Ngum. As an expression of devotion to his wife, Chao Fa Ngum requested that this song be created and performed in appreciation of her introduction of Khmer Ballet to the Royal Lao Court following her passing.

Congratulations to the newly weds and may your marriage be filled with just as much love as That shared between Chao Fa Ngum and Nang KeoKenya’s. 🤍💎

Fon Nak Sadeung
Music by TingNoiNoi
Choreography by Saengchampa

We are so proud of these ladies! They practiced for 4 months with their instructor Alice Xayavong and sharpened their technique with instructor Emily Phonhsongkham. They spent many months trying to perfect this choreography with their instructor(s) to prepare for this important event, the last day of Buddhist Lent. We are so incredibly proud of all of them - some of them are new, some of them are former dancers.

We’d love to thank all of the board members/temple committee for allowing us to participate in this well executed festival. It was our honor to perform and entertain all who attended. Thank you Mercedes for your help with some of the ladies, Emily for dressing everyone from head to toe and Alice for assisting Emily the day of while being an incredible teacher.

We can’t wait to partake in next year’s event! ❤️

Fon Lai Heua Fai Luang Prabang performed and choreographed by Alice Xayavong. Music by TingNoiNoi

Words from our instructor Alice Xayavong:

I am very proud of all the dancers. They are so dedicated and hardworking! It felt rewarding to teach and dance with you all for this event! I can’t wait to see what’s more next time!

I’m am very grateful to Emily Phonhsongkham for allowing me to have a creative space to choreograph my own dance and have her support. She really takes the time to help everyone look and feel confident, and that’s a special thing to instill in others.

Lastly, I wouldn’t be who or where I am today without learning from my past dance teachers Koo Jimmy Sengthavorn and Koo Nome. They both have aspired me to be creative and passionate as I am today.

✨ Update! ✨

With a slight change of plans, will be taking the stage for a special solo performance of Lai Heua Fai Luang Prabang at approximately 6:30pm. Alice has poured her heart not only into teaching fellow dancers Nak Sadeung but also choreographing the dance routine for Lai Heua Fai Luang Prabang Dance. Her routine was inspired by the beautiful lyrics of the renowned Lao music group Tingnoinoi. Don’t miss her beautiful performance in 11 days!! 😍

Thank you so much and Somphith Ramsthaler for giving us the opportunity to showcase Lao culture at your event.

Thank you and especially for taking initiative for this event in coordinating your own practice time, dressing yourselves and speaking. Mikaila was especially so eager to learn this dance they performed, the Lao welcoming dance, in 1-2 days in order to perform.

We are so proud of you young women for what you’ve done and continue to do. Great job not just representing our nonprofit, but our culture and yourselves. Everyone’s so beautiful. 💛
