Casa de Vecinos Organizados (CVO) is the new name of the grassroots organization formerly known as BUHO, which was born out of the partnership between the groups known as Developing Unity through Resident Organizing (DURO) and Grito de Justicia (A Shout for Justice). The mission of Casa de Vecinos
Organizados is to build a base of residents and transform them into leaders that are empowered to en
gage and commit decision makers to help make our communities affordable, safe, secure and vibrant once again. Our resident leaders are committed to engaging in advocacy, research, policy change, leadership development, trainings, and organizing, in order to create opportunities that ensure economic security in our community.
