Got an old phone collecting dust? Your phone could serve hope to someone else!

Big Table San Diego is collecting gently used smartphones to help care recipients stay connected to their families, workplace, and essential services. If you have a spare phone sitting in a drawer, your donation can make a massive difference!

What we need:
► Condition: Fully functional with no cracked screens. (Chargers are a plus!)
► Status: Fully paid off and carrier unlocked.
► Data: Please sign completely out of your iCloud or Google accounts and factory reset the device. (We cannot reuse phones that are still locked to a previous account!)

Many of them are still working–serving others in restaurants and hotels–while living in cars and shelters. Half of our referrals involve people facing homelessness.

After four years of living in his car, shelters, and tents, Kevin finally has a place to call home.

With a young daughter to support, Kevin’s housing stability was in critical state. Big Table received his referral and immediately stepped in with tangible aid, such as gas cards and food assistance. Then, Kevin’s Care Coordinator sat down with him to review his finances and find a living space that met his needs within his budget. A few weeks after his referral, Kevin had a place of his own.

Tuyen was looking at the possibility of losing her car because her second job wasn't providing enough hours. Big Table stepped in to support Tuyen by helping with her car payments, covering her car insurance deductible, and sharing some helpful financial advising resources.
