🙏🏽 SIX YEARS OF LEADING US IN PRAYER 🙏🏽

During Clergy Appreciation Month, we honor Pastor Jim Reynolds and First Lady Dolores Reynolds for faithfully leading our ministry in weekly prayer for the past six years.

Thursday after Thursday, prayer in the sanctuary has given us a place to come together, seek God, lift one another up, and bring our needs before Him.

Their leadership extends beyond the pulpit. They have taught us through their example to keep praying, keep trusting, and keep seeking God together.

Pastor and First Lady, thank you for your faithfulness, your prayers, and your love for Mt. Olive. We appreciate the time you have poured into leading us into God’s presence!

Mt. Olive family, share a word of appreciation—or a way Thursday prayer has blessed you—in the comments! Delores Reynolds Jimmy Reynolds

CLERGY APPRECIATION MONTH | SECOND UP!

As we continue celebrating Clergy Appreciation Month at Mt. Olive COGIC, our ministerial staff is stepping forward to minister throughout October, allowing our beloved Pastor Jim Reynolds a well-deserved time of rest and refreshing.

Last Sunday, AP Jerry Tinsley kicked us off, and yesterday, Elder Stephen Hawkins stepped up and delivered a powerful Word!

“Let’s Get Addicted to Jesus: Foundation Cracks”
Matthew 7:24–27

What a reminder that when life’s storms come, our foundation must be built on JESUS CHRIST! It’s not enough to hear His Word; we’ve got to LIVE His Word!

Elder Hawkins is what we call a quiet storm! He faithfully serves Mt. Olive as our Sunday School Superintendent, while also providing dedicated leadership and support in the church’s fiscal administration. He may not seek the spotlight, but his humility, consistency, and commitment to the work of the Lord speak volumes!

And when it’s time to stand and declare the Word of God, he has something to say!

Elder Hawkins, we honor you, appreciate you, and thank God for your faithfulness and servant’s heart!

Mt. Olive family, help us show Elder Hawkins some love! Drop a word of encouragement or appreciation in the comments!

CLERGY APPRECIATION MONTH | DAY 10

Beyond the Pulpit… A Heart for God’s People! 🙏🏽

Ministry is more than preaching a sermon, leading a service, or standing before a congregation.

It’s the prayers whispered when no one is listening. The words of encouragement when someone needs strength. The sacrifices made behind the scenes. The love extended when life gets difficult.

Today, we pause to celebrate Pastor Jim Reynolds and First Lady Delores Reynolds for the many ways they pour into the lives of God’s people.

Some of the greatest expressions of ministry aren’t seen from the pulpit — they’re felt in the hearts of those who have been touched along the way. ❤️

As we continue our journey toward celebrating our Pastor and Wife Anniversary, we thank God for leaders who remind us that ministry is not just what you do — it’s how you love and serve.

📖 1 Thessalonians 5:12–13
