MCV is non profit organization in the USA & Kenya. Our mission is to empower Maasai people through our water, education and culture conservation initiatives.

We believe every Maasai person should have access to clean water for their culture to survive.

❤️🌱 HAPPY MAZINGIRA DAY! WHEN WE PLANT TREES, WE PLANT HOPE.

Today, Kenya celebrates Mazingira Day, a national day dedicated to protecting our environment, planting trees, and caring for the land.

The Maasai have long relied on trees and plants for food, medicine, healthy land, and livelihoods.

As we celebrate Mazingira Day and prepare for the coming El Niño rains, the time to plant is now. The rains bring an important opportunity to plant medicinal and fruit trees, grow food, restore the land, and strengthen food security before future dry periods.

By planting trees, we are not only caring for the environment. We are planting for the future while safeguarding Maasai land and wildlife.

MCV’s Maasai Vocational Training Center is the only accredited vocational training institution in the Amboseli area, providing hands-on technical and vocational education for Maasai youth, women, and the community, with NITA accreditation through the Government of Kenya.

• Construction: Masonry, Tiling & Plumbing
• Food & Beverage Production & Service

MCV launched a new ceramics training facility at the Maasai Heritage Center, uplifting Maasai women by creating new opportunities through art.

For generations, Maasai women have used their creativity and hands to create beautiful artwork that tells stories of culture, identity, and tradition.

Women are excited to transform the clay from Maasailand into beautiful, functional works of art while creating a brighter future for the Maasai community!

For more than 16 years, the Maasai have welcomed us into their homes, communities, and lives. Now, we invite you to join us, not as a tourist, but as part of the Maasai family!

MCV offers cultural immersion and service-learning experiences for youth, university students, and families to live, learn, and work hand in hand with Maasai communities on educational programs while safeguarding Maasai heritage.

This is more than a trip. It is an opportunity to experience life in Amboseli, Kenya, at the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro, live alongside the Maasai, experience cultural traditions, and enjoy the wildlife in Maasailand!

🎓 Congratulations to the first graduating class of the Maasai Vocational Training Center!

You are the changemakers helping to shape a brighter world & inspiring others to believe that dreams are possible!

MCV is committed to creating pathways for youth, women, and families to gain skills, create opportunities, and strengthen Maasai communities. We are training students in computers, media, construction, art, and more.

We are honored to be the only government-certified vocational training center in the Amboseli area!

We look forward to our next graduating class and all the future graduates to come; but we will always remember our first graduates, as together we lay the foundation for generations of leaders and changemakers to come!

Fordham University students came to Kenya with MCV for spring break and left with memories, friendships, and experiences that will last a lifetime.

What began as a service-learning journey became something much deeper — a beautiful cultural exchange filled with joy and shared purpose with the Maasai community in Amboseli.

The students stayed at the Maasai Heritage Center, embraced daily Maasai life, and helped launch a new Maasai medicinal garden alongside the community. In the process, friendships were formed, stories were shared, and seeds were planted that will continue to grow for years to come.

Thank you, Fordham University for making this transformative experience possible. We are so grateful to the students for coming with open hearts and for being part of an experience that created a lasting connection between the Maasai community and Fordham.

We cannot wait to share more of the impact Fordham students and the Maasai created together.
