This Wednesday, D6 welcomed real estate professional and mindfulness practitioner Bibiana Rico for her presentation, "From the Mat to the Market: Finding Balance in Business."

Bibiana drew from over two decades of guiding San Diego buyers and sellers through high-pressure transactions to share practical ways entrepreneurs can manage physical stress responses. She walked us through actionable somatic techniques to regulate the nervous system, stay grounded during tough negotiations, and protect our energy in demanding work environments.

It was a powerful reminder that taking care of our physical well-being isn't separate from running a successful business, it's the foundation for it.

Today, D6 Small Business collaborating with MIRA MESA Community Champions was honored to host San Diego County District Attorney Summer Stephan at Mira Mesa Senior Center for a vital community dialogue and meet-and-greet at the Mira Mesa Senior Center.

District Attorney Stephan led an open, action-oriented conversation focused on the issues directly impacting our local storefronts, including current crime trends affecting small businesses, common fraud schemes targeting owners, elder abuse, and financial crime prevention. More than just sharing policies, she reinforced the importance of building stronger, direct partnerships between local businesses and law enforcement to keep our business corridors safe and thriving.

Having our County District Attorney pull up a chair to listen, answer questions, and share her vision for public safety means everything to District 6.

A sincere thank you to District Attorney Summer Stephan and her team for spending the afternoon with our business community and standing with our local owners.
