What's the one thing you keep putting off that could change everything?

Sometimes it's not a lack of effort. It's a lack of perspectives.

Take a recent conversation in our community: someone had been running their business the same way for years, not because it was working, but because it was familiar. It took one honest conversation with someone outside their bubble to see what had been hiding in plain sight.

They made one shift. The results followed.

If you've been carrying a question you haven't had the right space to ask, this is that space.

Join us tomorrow and bring your real challenges. The rough drafts. The "I've been stuck on this for months" stuff. That's exactly what we're here for.

See you at Mira Mesa Senior Center!

You Hire an Architect for Your House, Why Not For Your Business? D6 Small Business Coffee Wed May 27

You're ready to hire AI.
But is your business ready for it?
Your business is growing. But so is your to-do list. And somewhere along the way, you stopped enjoying what you built.

Enter AI, your real competitive advantage. But how do you actually make that work? How do you employ this "new assistant" in your business that truly delivers?

Come this Wednesday, we're exploring exactly that question with Jenné of Simply Digitec.

There is a cost to running a business that does not show up on any spreadsheet. This Wednesday, D6 made space to talk about it.

Thank you to Renu Sethi, well-being coach and self-transformation facilitator, for joining us. Renu works with small business owners navigating what she calls the invisible load, that slow buildup of decision fatigue and emotional overwhelm most of us just push through.

Her message was clear: the shift from hustle and struggle to strategic flow starts on the inside. High-performance strategy and soulful well-being are not opposites. That is the architecture of resilience.

Grateful to have Renu in the room this week. This is exactly what D6 is for.

What if the real obstacle in your business isn't the market or the competition, it's the invisible weight you're carrying every single day?

We are two days away from this Wednesday's D6 Small Business Coffee, and this one is worth clearing your morning for.

We are sitting down with Renu Sethi, a well-being coach and self-transformation facilitator dedicated to the success of our local business community.
Renu has observed something most business advisors won't tell you: the greatest challenge for small business owners today isn't market fluctuation. It is decision fatigue and emotional overwhelm. The "invisible load" of running a business is real, and it quietly drains even the most driven among us.

She will be presenting The Architecture of Resilience: Mastering Emotional Intelligence for Peak Performance, a talk about how deep-level internal work can help you shift from a state of hustle and struggle into one of strategic flow.

As Renu puts it: "High-performance strategy with soulful well-being can redefine the success culture of our local business community members."

Come ready to go deeper than the usual business tactics. This one is about building the inner foundation that makes everything else work.

See you there!

And who said adults can have all the fun, thank you Ritika Sehgal of Generation Forward for planning this for D6 this Wednesday.

We talk about the future a lot in business circles, the next tool, the next platform, the next disruption. But this Wednesday, the conversation at D6 went somewhere different. It went to the kids.

A huge thank you to Ritika Sehgal, founder of Generation Forward, Inc., for joining us and sharing something she has built from the ground up. Ritika left a high-tech corporate career, not to escape it, but because she saw what was missing. Kids were surrounded by screens and devices, but fewer and fewer real-world opportunities to build the skills that actually carry them forward: creativity, communication, confidence, and the ability to work alongside other people.

The big takeaway from this morning? What fuels excellence is not just STEAM or digital literacy, it is the whole self. The one who can stand up, speak clearly, adapt, and collaborate. Ritika's programs at Generation Forward are doing exactly that work, and the results speak for themselves.

That is what D6 is built for, people who saw something that needed to exist and built it anyway. Grateful to have Ritika in the room this week.

Most of the time, when we talk about government and small business, it feels like a conversation happening somewhere else, in a building, between people who have never run payroll or juggled a client deadline with a vendor invoice. This morning felt different.

A huge thank you to Congresswoman Sara Jacobs for sitting down with us at D6 and actually have a conversation. She joined us for an open Q&A, which meant the room got to set the agenda. And this room did not hold back. From access small business support, educational development, to the importance of our local council rep in San Diego, she came ready to engage, not just to talk, but to discuss.

The big takeaway? We as small business have more power from the granular level more than most of us realize. The decisions that shape how we survive and grow, education pipelines, community investment, the programs that never make the headlines, those are being shaped right now, by people who want to know what we need. We just have to tell them.

That's what District 6 networking is built for. Not just doing business with each other, but making sure the people with the power to support us actually know who we are.

Huge thank you to Congresswoman Sara Jacobs for joining D6 this Wednesday and giving our members something rare, a real, open conversation with with our rep about what small businesses in San Diego actually need.
