Cali Kids needs your help!
Our storage unit price keeps rising, it is now $421/month!!!
Cali Kids has been 100% self-funded for the last 3 years but I cant maintain $421/month.

We need a new storage unit! Needs to be in Serra Mesa, Mission Valley, or Fashion Valley (1st floor and drive-up is a must) and/or we need a sponsor to cover storage costs.

We store toys, clothes, blankets, fun items, and essential items for hospitalized kids and their families. We also store our supplies for events and for our mental health program. We've been on a hiatus but have been getting back to work and will be fully operating again this summer.

Dinner ar the Ronald McDonald House on Saturday was wonderful! Thank you so much to our incredible volunteers and donors who helped us cook and serve dinner and entertain the sweet kids with crafts and fun characters! You all are amazing!

A few years ago, we were able to participate in a wonderful program, Pocket Full of Poems, with the Well Beings Studio. We had weekly virtual poetry and art workshops with Cali Kids warrior kids and siblings. At the end of the project, a SDSU digital art class partnered with us and created beautiful posters with the kids poems. The Pocket Full of Poems project and The Well Beings Studio was featured on The Children’s Hour podcast and Leila and I read the kids poems. 3 years later and I finally listed to it!
Leila, Phoenix, Ryder, and Mason's poems are read between 30-38 minutes.

Cali Kids is currently on hold for September and October.

A little over a year ago, Isaac was diagnosed with brain cancer. It's his 3rd battle with cancer and he's the strongest fighter I've ever known. Isaac is one of my reasons for starting Cali Kids, he's the heart and soul behind everything we do. When he was first diagnosed with this, I took a brief pause and since then, Cali Kids has just been on a slow-down for the past year.

Isaac has fought so hard. He is so strong. And during each of these battles, he had his mom Kim, his dad Adam, and his brother Adam, (my son, and Cali Kid's executive financial director) by his side every step of the way, fighting with him and arming him with everything they had to help him fight. They are all so strong and so brave and just an exceptional team and family.

Isaac is the bravest, most loving, funny, and amazing warrior I know and I love him so dearly. Isaac is comfortable at home, surrounded by family and friends and so much love and light. Please continue to lift up Isaac and the whole family in your thoughts and prayers.

During this time, Cali Kids is taking a pause. We apologize but we will not be delivering care packages, hosting workshops, or supporting new families during this time. We are still here for our current Cali Kids families but on a more limited capacity. We will update soon when we will re-open.
