Join us in person at the Tierrasanta Recreation Center or remotely via Zoom. Toastmasters exists to help people become better, more confident speakers and leaders by practicing these skills in a positive, supportive atmosphere. The Toastmasters program is structured but informal. Toastmasters International provides a vast array of enrichment and training materials, from which members can select as

they choose. Members learn both by practicing speaking and by watching and helping each other during weekly club meetings. In addition, interested members can develop their skills even further by participating in Toastmasters speech contests, speaker training, leadership training, and mentoring activities outside the home club. All members receive Toastmasters Magazine, a monthly publication with tips and techniques for improving speaking, presentation, leadership, and communication skills. Toastmasters is a multinational organization with members in 60 countries that span the globe. Toastmasters International's business and services are administered by its world headquarters in Rancho Santa Margarita, California. It employs no paid promoters or instructors and has no salaried staff except for the Executive Director and World Headquarters staff who provide services to the clubs and Districts. Vapor Trails Toastmasters is dedicated to the mission of Toastmasters by helping its members achieve their goals through supportive, friendly, and fun club meetings. Cost Information
It is free to attend several meetings as a guest. Membership is $81 per 6 months or $153 per year if you pay for an entire year at once which saves you $9. First dues payment is pro-rated depending on which month you join. A portion goes to Toastmasters International, and a portion is kept by the club for expenses such as renting a room for meetings, and supplies. Phone Number

V***r Trails celebrated the holidays with a gift exchange while also installing their officers for the Spring term. Those who wished to participate brought a gift. As each member opened a gift they gave a short speech on how perfect the gift was for them. A couple of members saw their prized present purloined and had to find a new gift from the wrapped selection or steal from someone else.

On Halloween Eve, V***r Trails conducted it's weekly meeting as a Halloween Spooktacular, on the eve of the festive day. Many showed up in costume and lights were out during some sections to enhance the evening's spooky atmosphere.

We were pleased to have our first hybrid meeting tonight, and despite all odds, it ran very smoothly! Some of our in-person attendees got to meet in person for the first time, and our online attendees got to see and hear members speak at the lectern that had been collecting dust over the past couple years! It was a real treat to witness the V***r Trailers come together and pull through for yet another successful meeting. We heard a dazzling speech from online attendee Li about body language, followed by an expert evaluation from Bob! A fun Table Topics session about professions was led by our beloved Sheila, and smiles and laughter could be seen all around both the rec center room and the zoom screen. A huge thank you to Veronica, Jimmy Mac and Paul for the testing you conducted to make this meeting happen. Can't wait for the next one! Hello again after another social media break! V***r Trails Toastmasters had a fantastic meeting tonight with a Summertime Activities theme! We first elected officers for our next term (stay tuned for an introduction to our new officers!) We then had a fun Table Topics session where we learned about some of our members' favorite summer activities. Our new (but experienced) member Leanne and our beloved and seasoned member Phillip graced us with wonderful speeches.
