Our annual Chinese New Year Scholarship/Philanthropy Fundraising Dinner was held on February 14, 2026 at Diamond Palace Restaurant. Guests enjoyed a performance by the Lucky Lion Dancers and an eight course banquet dinner. Fundraising components were raffle baskets, silent auction items and a lucky money tree. Thanks to our friends and supporters, the dinner raised $17,000!

The deadline to make reservations for our annual SDCWA fundraising banquet dinner is now extended to February 6, 2026. The dinner is on Saturday, February 14, 2026 at Diamond Palace Restaurant in San Diego. Complete details on qualification requirements and the application process are available on the SDCWA website: https://sdcwa.net/philanthropy/ Use the form on that page to contact the Philanthropy Chair for any questions. Applications must be received by March 31, 2026 (no exceptions). Last year, SDCWA awarded a total of $21,500 to 17 organizations.

SDCWA held the 10th Annual Afternoon Tea Fundraiser on October 4, 2025. The event sold out well before the deadline, and members decorated beautiful tables. We had 182 guests who enjoyed the afternoon tea catered by Marlene's Tea and Cakes. The event was a hit with all who attended. SDCWA raised over $11,500 and we thank our many supporters.

Thank you to our generous donors and supporters for a very successful fundraising year. In June, we awarded $21,500 in scholarships to 12 local high school seniors and awarded $23,000 in grants to 17 philanthropic organizations. Both amounts were the highest that we've ever given!
