This National Farmers Day, we're celebrating the growers whose hard work helps get fresh fruits and vegetables into the hands of people facing hunger.

Their dedication helps us provide families throughout the region with access to fresh, nutritious food, while keeping the agricultural community strong.

With Election Day coming up on November 3, now is the time to make sure you're registered to vote.

At Feeding San Diego, we believe everyone deserves access to nutritious food, and civic participation is one way to help shape the future of our communities.

The deadline to register to vote online in California is Monday, October 19.

🍐 Food rescue in action!

Last night, volunteers joined us at Feeding San Diego for a special food rescue volunteer shift as part of San Diego Climate Week.

Together, they sorted and packed rescued produce, helping keep good food out of landfills and get it to people facing hunger across San Diego County.

Thank you to everyone who spent their evening volunteering with us and helping give this produce a second life!

We are so grateful to be the charitable partner of the Del Mar W**e + Food Festival, especially because it involves pickleball.

This year's Celebrity Pickleball Tournament again welcomed players, chefs, local businesses, and community members for a day of friendly competition benefitting Feeding San Diego. Between the action on the courts and the excitement at our raffle booth, we loved seeing so many people show up and rally around our mission to help end hunger across San Diego County.

It's San Diego Climate Week! Join us for a Food Rescue Volunteer Shift next Tuesday (10/6) from 6–8 p.m. at our distribution center in Sorrento Valley.

Spend two hours with us helping to glean fresh produce, pack boxes, or sort donated items to support people facing hunger across San Diego County. Remember: we are a hunger-relief AND food rescue organization.

We love the work San Diego Climate Week is doing to bring people and organizations across our region together to build a more sustainable future, and we’re proud to be part of this year’s lineup.

The School Pantry Program is powered by people: donors, volunteers, school staff, parents of students, and Feeding San Diego staff members. It's a community of champions.

Last week, we gathered all these people to celebrate the program and foster connections between participating schools and their sponsors at the Celebrating School Pantry Champions event.

This program has been growing for years now, thanks to these people. This year, the program will expand to 72 Title I campuses throughout the county. As we look ahead, we’re working to expand the program to 80 schools this year and reach 100 schools by 2030.

This impact is felt and seen on each campus: it provides a consistent source of nutritious food to families. We’re grateful to have had the time to celebrate what is possible through collaboration🧡
