I want to share something with you today.

My daughter, a POLA Graduate, Cadet PO3 Leah Nohrenberg, has learned so much from Sea Cadets, she has made great life-long friends, and had top notch instructors/mentors/officers over the past almost 3 years she's been in Sea Cadets. It has helped her grow as a person and as an American.
She's a Senior now, and has applied for Scholarships to College. She's applied to the US Merchant Marine Academy, the US Naval Academy, and the Navy ROTC - Marine Option. She has seen True Leadership in the Sea Cadets, learned from her Leaders and her Peers and wants to be a Navy or Marine Officer...
... This morning her cell phone rang about one of those applications. Congressman Steve Knight personally called her and congratulated Leah and said she has been accepted into the US Merchant Marine Academy!!!!
The USMMA is ranked:
#3 in Regional Colleges North
#2 in Top Public Schools
#19 in Engineering Programs
Upon graduation from the USMMA she can graduate and become an Officer in any of the US Armed Forces or become a US Naval Reserve Officer or become a Merchant Marine and transport goods from ports all over the world!!!
Now this is just the first call of the big three, and she hasn't accepted "this" offer yet, but she is likely to and I'm beyond thrilled that she would go to USMMA!!!
Free Tuition, free room and board, free books, and US Naval Reserve Midshipman Pay while going to College!

Which one would you choose?
1. Become anything you want after graduation from the US Merchant Marine Academy.
2. Become a US Naval Officer after graduation from the US Naval Academy if they call.
3. Become a US Marine Officer and attend one of 5 Colleges under the NROTC Scholarship if they call.
