Happy Purim! We must take this opportunity to thank our amazing team for making today so much fun! We definitely honored the Chag!!:). We always say that this part of the project is as important as the people that receive our meals. By volunteering with us we don’t only guarantee you’ll feel great about doing something good, but you will also get to meet great people, make new friends from other communities, and learn different languages 🤣 today we had French, Hebrew, English and Spanish!! We love it!

Yesterday we challenged our selves to cook almost 150 meals! We joined forces with who through Ohr Ami, have been sending holiday baskets to unprivileged members of the community, for years. Thank you Ohr Ami for your generosity, for the amazing team of volunteers and for making this big challenge for Yesod Haolam SD (cooking that number of meals for the first time) so easy and fun!

Slowly but steadily the word is spreading 🙏🙏 we’re grateful to be able to help more people every week.
Our goal is to make your hospital stay as a caregiver, easier. As well as support the elderly in our community that are not able to cook for themselves.
Today we delivered 53 meals.

Gratitude is the word I would use to describe last Wednesday’s cooking. We are so grateful to have had as our head chef for the week with her amazing recipes, we learn so much from you, thank you!!🙏🥰
We made chicken and tofu kebab, cauliflower with tahini, lentil soup, mejadra (rice with lentils) and delicious dark chocolate and date balls.
We were also super grateful for friends as we celebrated a birthday in the kitchen 🎉🎉🎉 and all meals were donated in honor of the birthday queen!
I want to thank our volunteers for rolling up their sleeves and getting out of their comfort zone🤣🙈 So grateful to have you in my life.

Today we cooked in memory of my mom, Esther Bat Lucy zl”. (There’s a misspell on the label🙈)
Ima, I couldn’t think of a better way to honor you, you were all about cooking, it was your way of showing us how much you loved us.
We made 80 meals in a snap! Team work, makes the dream work!!!

We cooked, amongst other things, a Salmon recipe I found on instagram and that I have to share, it’s so yummy and easy!!!
