Can you spot all the similarities between the original Juneteenth flag and the Haitian flag?

Haiti was the first Black republic in the world and the first nation founded by formerly enslaved people who successfully overthrew their enslavers. The Juneteenth flag draws inspiration from the Haiti’s monumental past.

To our Black American brothers and sisters, we celebrate and commemorate this powerful and emotional day alongside you. Freedom delayed is freedom denied.

On this Freedom Day, the Haitian Bridge Alliance stands with all descendants of formerly enslaved people in the United States whose strength we continue to honor and celebrate.

160 years later, we honor the journey toward freedom while acknowledging that the work of achieving justice and equality is far from over. Freedom delayed is freedom denied.

This , the Haitian Bridge Alliance celebrates the incredible contributions, culture, and joy that immigrants bring to our country.

Immigrants are our neighbors, teachers, friends, caregivers, entrepreneurs, and community leaders. Many are also on Temporary Protected Status (TPS) holders who have built their lives, families, and futures in the United States while contributing immeasurably to the communities they call home.

That spirit was on full display this spring outside the U.S. Supreme Court, where hundreds gathered in defense of TPS for Haiti and Syria. The outpour of support was the result of months of organizing, coalition-building, and care for our community. Cultural performances, music, dancing, and powerful testimonies from TPS recipients transformed the gathering into an intentional celebration, even as the future of TPS remains uncertain. While opponents sought to sow fear, what they found instead was resilience, community, and a shared commitment that we will get through this together.

As we honor Immigrant Heritage Month and await the TPS result from the Supreme Court, we recognize the immigrants whose stories, labor, joy, kindness and leadership strengthen our nation every day.

14 years ago, DACA was born out of courage and determination.

When everyone said it was impossible, it was immigrant youth who refused to be ignored and made the impossible happen.

Today, we're back — in the halls of Congress, in the streets, and with our community — to demand what is long overdue: a pathway to citizenship for all.

Join us.

Haitian Bridge Alliance has sent a letter to Secretary of State Marco Rubio requesting a review of the case involving Omar Abdulkadir Artan, the Somali referee selected by FIFA to officiate at the 2026 FIFA World Cup who was recently denied entry to the United States.

"Our request is simply that the matter receive appropriate review consistent with U.S. law and established procedures to expedite his visa so he can join his teammates to represent their country” said Guerline Jozef, Executive Director of Haitian Bridge Alliance.

Mr. Artan is among a small group of elite officials chosen by FIFA following an extensive and highly competitive international selection process. He represents not only the highest standards of officiating, but also the aspirations of millions across Africa who view participation in global institutions and events as a pathway to greater international understanding and cooperation.
