📝 The Uptown Community Planning Group will hold a special meeting of its board of directors on Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2024, 6-8 p.m., at the Joyce Beers Community Center in Hillcrest. At this meeting, the board will consider a number of items that were unable to be completed at the regular meeting earlier this month.

Community participation is always welcome!

The Uptown Community Planning Group serves as an advisory body to the City of San Diego on land-use, development and discretionary projects within the six neighborhoods: University Heights, Hillcrest, Medical Complex, Mission Hills, Bankers Hill/Park West, and Middletown. We look forward to your participation!

A reminder that the UpCPG election ends tomorrow (Tuesday, Sept 3). Registration will close at 4:45 PM and voting ends at 5:00 PM. Results will be available in a special board meeting at 6:00 PM, see https://uptowncommunityplanning.org for more details.

At the meeting, we will accept in-person voter registration for those who would prefer not to share supporting documents online but are willing to receive an online ballot by email or SMS. Be sure to have documentation that is current and shows your address for residents, non-resident property owners or required proof for business representatives.

We also encourage candidates to attend and answer questions from prospective voters.

Voter registration for the Uptown Community Planning Group initial board elections is now open. Voting Starts Aug 8 and continues until Aug 20th. Register now!

Online registration will cause a ballot to be sent to the email address you provide or an SMS text with the ballot link to your phone once voting opens. More information is available on the UVPG web site.

The Uptown Community Planning Group Election Committee is announcing the schedule for the upcoming election of our first Community Planning Group (CPG) board for Uptown.

Candidate Applications are Open Now through July 20

Voter Registration will open June 15

Voting Begins August 8 and ends August 20th when the new board will be seated as the recognized CPG for Uptown!

Be a part of this exciting change, represent your neighborhood to the city on matters of housing, mobility, parks, infrastructure and more!

The UCPG Election Committee is looking for volunteers to help support the upcoming election. There are 2 teams looking for a few good people from across Uptown to help make this a success for your community. Volunteers will need to be available for in person voting dates, currently August 20 and possibly another date to be named. Volunteers will be assigned to only one of the two teams.
