A superhero-sized THANK YOU to our cohosts Panels Comic Book Coffee Bar for a fun day by the ocean! We all had tons of fun, had delicious coffee and snacks and picked up some new comics!! Thank you everyone who came out to make today amazing!

Due to the high volume of requests, SDCA would like to remind our local community that we're a large collection of dedicated, amateur hobbyists. As such, SDCA does not provide costume rentals, hospital visits, appearances at children's events, etc. We're not professionals, and we don't hire our services out as such. If you are interested in hiring a costumed character, San Diego has a few superhero&princess party rentals, from which you can hire professionals! Thank you!

HELLO SAN DIEGO!
SDCA wants to know where YOU'VE always wanted a gathering! It can be the smallest park, the quirkiest little spot encouraged! We're looking for places that have not been host to a gathering yet!

We've had numerous gatherings over the years in such locales as Balboa Park, Old Town, Seaport Village, Kit Carson Park, and many more.

The best suggestions are places near any of the Trolley stops, accessible to bus lines, and easy-to-get-to just off any of our major freeways. Any public land in the San Diego County is welcome. Our admins have even suggestions of cosplay day trips to places such as Julian or Anza-Borrego, both within San Diego County lines! Our vast county is so excellent, as well as all the cosplayers that live within it :3

Just wanted to remind everyone to book their rooms for Anime Conji 2012 today! Why book a hotel room at the con? Isn't it much cheaper to spend the night somewhere nearby? Not necessarily! If you book a hotel room elsewhere, you'll have to commute each day you attend the con, which may be a difficult thing for people who live quite a drive away! More importantly, let's say you're exhausted (or, perhaps a bit intoxicated?) one night at the con, wouldn't it be a relief to know all you have to do is make it back to your room at the resort itself, rather than drive? To wake up and already be at the con? Not only that, but for every room night you reserve, that actually helps Conji out! The more room nights they can sell, the better it is for the con, and in turn, the better the con can become for you, the attendees! So please, if you haven't thought about it, please do! Room nights start at only $99 per night, which can be easily split between a group to cut the costs down!
