47 Years. Two Love Stories. One Community.

Today at our bilingual Tremble Clefs program, Common Ground Collective, we discovered a wonderful surprise.

Two couples were celebrating their 47th wedding anniversary today. Juan and Rosalva were married in Tijuana, Mexico. Ricardo and Darlene were married in Connecticut. Different beginnings. The same remarkable milestone.

Today, both couples call San Diego home. They found themselves in the same room, singing together, encouraging one another, and building community through music.

This is what Common Ground Collective is all about. Bringing people together across languages, cultures, and life experiences to find connection, hope, and joy through music.

Congratulations to both couples on 47 years of marriage. Thank you for reminding us that some of life’s most meaningful connections are the ones we never see coming. ❤️


47 años. Dos historias de amor. Una comunidad.

Hoy, durante nuestro programa bilingüe de Tremble Clefs, Common Ground Collective, descubrimos una hermosa coincidencia.

Dos parejas estaban celebrando hoy su 47.º aniversario de bodas. Juan y Rosalva se casaron en Tijuana, México. Ricardo y Darlene se casaron en Connecticut. Comenzaron sus vidas en lugares diferentes, pero hoy celebran el mismo extraordinario logro.

Ahora ambas parejas viven en San Diego. Hoy compartieron la misma sala, cantando juntas, apoyándose mutuamente y fortaleciendo su comunidad a través de la música.

De eso se trata Common Ground Collective. Reunir a personas de diferentes idiomas, culturas y experiencias de vida para encontrar conexión, esperanza y alegría a través de la música.

Felicitaciones a ambas parejas por sus 47 años de matrimonio. Gracias por recordarnos que algunas de las conexiones más significativas de la vida son aquellas que nunca imaginamos. ❤️
