2026 SCCF INTER-CLUB STATE CHAMPIONSHIP took place yesterday at the San Diego Chess Club with 32 teams (of 4 players each) participating from 10 am til 8 pm! San Diego Chess Club won the first place on tiebreakers (team members: FM Benjamin Tang, NM Ephraim Rosenstock, NM Arseniy Kryazhev and NM Sarthak Gattani).

The 3rd San Diego Regional High School Chess Team Championship took place yesterday (January 11, 2026) at the San Diego Chess Club. Fifteen high schools proudly represented the region.
🥇 1st Place: Canyon Crest Academy
🥈 2nd Place: San Marino High School
🥉 3rd Place: Westview High School
4th Place: Fountain Valley High School

Congratulations to all the teams that placed! It was a full-day event featuring six rounds of G25d5 games.
