San Diego Brain Tumor Foundation

San Diego Brain Tumor Foundation The San Diego Brain Tumor foundation aims to improve the well-being of brain tumor patients & famili The organization was established by Connie Reeves Campbell.

The success of the San Diego Brain Tumor Foundation depends upon the generosity of people like you. Fighting this terrible disease is possible only with the support of individuals and businesses like you and through your direct support of events like the annual SDBTF Golf Tournament. The foundation is a non-profit, voluntary grassroots organization dedicated to providing essential information and

support for brain tumor patients and their families. Connie was married to Dennis Campbell an incredible husband and friend who was stricken with a brain tumor in 1998 and lost his life in 2000. As a caregiver, Connie understands the impact of a brain tumor to the patient and their family members; thus the San Diego Brain Tumor Foundation was created in 2002. Since the inception, The San Diego Brain Tumor Foundation has been able to provide comfort to patients and their families. The types of support we provide include a hot meal, holding the hand of a patient and/or family members after surgery, driving the patient to a doctor’s appointment, helping pay for medical costs, other services and just listening to their story. We strive to be available to anyone who needs our support. We thank all the sponsors and individual support given to this organization so that we are able to continue to help those in need!

The San Diego Brain Tumor Foundation (SDBTF) would like to express our gratitude to someone that is very special in our community.

We are thankful for Odell Hobson who is raising awareness and donations for SDBTF through his Movember Movement.

Movember raises awareness for men's health issues.

Thank you Odell for choosing SDBTF as the foundation to receive donations this November.

As you are all very much aware, the coronavirus pandemic meant that it was vital to limit social contact and avoid gathering. For that reason, we made the difficult decision to reschedule our 2021 Annual Events, including the 5K Step & Support and the Annual Dennis Campbell Memorial Golf Tournament. While we know this was disappointing, we hope you can understand the steps we have taken to help keep our community safe. We look forward to hosting our events once again in 2022. Please save the dates below!

πŸ“Œ December 7, 2021 – Annual Patient & Family Holiday Dinner
πŸ“Œ December 18, 2021 – Annual Patient & Family Holiday Gift Giving
πŸ“Œ May 23, 2022 – 19th Annual Swing & Support Golf Tournament
πŸ“Œ August 27, 2022 - 11th Annual 5K Step & Support Walk/Fun Run

For the past 18 years, we have hosted the Dennis Campbell Memorial Charity Golf Tournament to raise the money we need to make a difference in our community.

Today, May 17th, would have been the day of our event, but due to ongoing COVID restrictions, we had to postpone.

The donations received this month will be used to provide the necessary funds for patients and families to have less stress and more relief this summer knowing they have help with daily expenses.

Please consider making a gift to this month!

Due to ongoing COVID restrictions, we are disappointed to announce that our Annual Charity Golf Tournament has been postponed until October 11th, 2021. Please be sure to save the date and we look forward to seeing you all in person soon!

This annual event generates nearly half of our funding for the year, and the postponement will put a huge dent in the number of grants we’re able to award this summer.

Please consider donating whatever you can so that we can keep helping patients that are in need right now. Donate today πŸ‘‰πŸΌ https://www.sdbtf.org/ways-to-give/ πŸ’™πŸ’›

In 2021, nearly 25,000 Americans will be diagnosed with a cancerous brain tumor. At SDBTF, our mission is to support those patients in any way we can.

Whether it's through financial aid to help with the cost of care & housing or support groups for patients and families, we are dedicated to making the biggest difference we can for those facing a diagnosis.

But we need your help during .

While we always appreciate your financial support, what we ask from you today is your VOICE. We’re a small organization and many patients in the San Diego area simply don’t know about the help we offer.

You can help this month by sharing this post with your friends and family or by telling your own story. Use the hashtag and tag us here so we can share!
