ICYMI: Last week, our beloved founder Kevin Charles Patterson took over the airwaves on NBC 7 to talk all things Fringe. 🎭

From the raw energy of independent performance to the vision behind this year’s festival and expansion, it was an incredible opportunity to share our mission with a wider audience. If you missed the segment, it’s a great look at the heart behind our community.

Huge thanks to the team at NBC 7 for the spotlight. The world is watching, and while the festival this year is coming to an end, we’re just getting started.

The global stage is in San Diego!
We are so honored to host the World Fringe Congress 2026

This week, our region became the epicenter for representatives from Fringe festivals across the globe. These conversations are spanning across San Diego and Baja California, showing how our border region is a true gateway for international cultural exchange.

The artist mingle today at the House of Pacific Relations International Cottages was a highlight, bringing San Diego Fringe artists and world festival leaders together to talk about community and the future of the independent arts. By working across the border, we are proving that art is a universal language.

The world is here, and the conversation is just getting started.

As we head into our final days, it’s been incredible to watch our artists, including debut companies like Poway Shakespeare, bring such high-energy, professional work to stages across the region.

Our 14th year continues to show why the Fringe is a vital part of the local arts landscape. There is still plenty to see before we wrap up this Sunday.
