Flooding Within Community & Surrounding Mission Valley Area
Dear Residents,
As you may be aware, there is a flash flood warning in effect for our area. Many area streets have been flooded and are closed down. Several off/on ramps on the 15 have been shut down. Convoy street is flooded as are portions of Ulrich and Frazee and Friars Road.
There is flooding in the lower village, mainly on Juanico and Basilio. The landscape company is in route to address the flooding areas, but traffic is backed up so it may take awhile. Maintenance is on-sight and has been working with TJ to address the flooded areas.
Homeowners are calling with reports of blocked drains. All drains were recently cleared, checked and are in working order, they are simply overwhelmed due to the amount of water that fell in a short amount of time.
Fox 5 San Diego has continuing blog updates for all of San Diego County, but there are several reports for the Mission Valley Area: http://fox5sandiego.com/2016/01/05/flood-advisory-issued-for-san-diego-county/
