Our community of City Heights, and in particular the neighborhoods of Castle, Swan Canyon, Fairmount Village and Azalea Park, are excited to participate in the tremendous opportunity to transform a small piece of land from a razor-wire-covered barricade between neighborhoods into a beautiful gathering place for all to share. Through a generous grant, and the amazing partners shown above, and the d
rive of our community-based volunteers and youth, we will see magic happen. This is a project which is formatted to shorten the process of bureaucracies and invite collaboration of lead designers who take the communities' input, ask the youth to play a major part in presentation and design, and ultimately, will be a "barn-raising" style build over 4 days in November. Please consider volunteering time, money, materials, services, and even offering food or the help in serving food and beverages to our volunteers. The build dates are Thursday, November 7th through Sunday, November 10th, between 9 AM and 5 PM, with a celebration on the evening of the 10th. Details to be announced.
