Save the date: On August 19, the County Board of Supervisors will vote on an historic cannabis ordinance for the county of San Diego’s unincorporated areas.

On the table are 13 social equity retail licenses, unlimited manufacturing, cultivation, testing, distribution and delivery. San Diego County staff have been working very hard to put together recommendations that include an option (currently named option 2) for the county’s cannabis ordinance to be as permissive as the state regulations would allow. We owe it to the staffers and the supervisors who support safe access to show up to the meeting or post e-comments and contact your supervisors in support of the ordinance.

Please mark your calendars for August 19 at 9 AM and watch for updates as the agenda becomes available!

This webinar will examine:

What DEA registration means for federal and state tax filings
How federal registration affects the application of Section 280E
Federal labeling, documentation, and compliance requirements
Impact of DEA rescheduling proceedings & what’s next
Federal Policy Update

Join Americans For Safe Access Executive Director Steph Sherer, along with special guests Gail Rand, CPA, of Rand Consulting, and Adam Korenfield - CPA (he/him), CPA, Tax Partner at CohnReznick, for a practical discussion of the rapidly changing federal policy landscape and what it means for medical cannabis businesses.

Bring your questions—and leave with a clearer understanding of the rules, risks, and opportunities ahead.

This event is organized by Americans for Safe Access & Cannabis Businesses & Professionals United for National Medical Cannabis (UNMC)

Ticket holders will receive a video link to the webinar. This event is free for ASA & UNMC members.
