Oaks & Acorns

Oaks & Acorns Our vision is a world that celebrates the mosaic of all generations exchanging wisdom, experience, exuberance and innovation.

We teach, inspire, and sustain relationships with all generations. See link http://youtu.be/dSpjz56rz-A Our intention is to enhance the lives of our oldest and youngest by bringing them together to participate in healthy, educational, and relevant programs. We provide safe, nurturing settings where older adults ages 55years+ (Oaks) and children ages 5years+(Acorns) can share their wisdom, talents,

and strengths. One outcome of our service is expressed by our tagline, “Invigorating communities intergenerationally.”

Our Story

For 25 years, Oaks & Acorns has created events to bring our vision to life. Building intergenerational relationships is our goal. As a result, we developed activities to engage different generations and demographics. We foster intergenerational exchanges. And, have lots of fun together doing that! Oaks & Acorn events encourage and build new bonds. Because we understand the potential of these relationships, we provide safe spaces for them to happen, consequently, nurturing them and expanding our shared community to grow a forest.

Upcoming Events:

Spring is around the corner. Another Community Cafe is happening. Join in the conversation. Come create connections and community. Maybe the Community Cafe will reveal ways for you and your family to get involved with Oaks & Acorns. Since we are always on the lookout for Big Thinkers, Go-Getters, and new members of our Grove, we might see the sapling in you just waiting for the right environment in which to thrive. Most of all, we want to get to know you. Another way to get involved is to share your ideas of how we can better strengthen relationships between the generations and across demographics. Finally, let us know how you think Oaks & Acorns can best build and serve an intergenerational community. All are welcome.
