all the members of serve and conserve went to sea camp this week

Seacamp San Diego is a marine biology education camp for school groups and indivdual students. At SEACAMP students learn about all aspects of marine biology, snorkel, kayak, boogie board, tidepool and even SCUBA dive.

we are on the first chapter of surfers creed which talked about his fathers encounter with a shark that changed his life

This meeting we read part of a book called the Surfers Code. The part we read was about never turning your back on the ocean. It explained how his dad got a chunk of his arm bit off swimming but he continued to teach his children to swim and surf. To me this means that you should never give up.

In our meetings we have started reading a book called the Surfers Code by Shaun Tomson. It is a book that relates surfing to life in Metaphors. It is a very interesting book and I strongly recommend it.

Hey this is Hannah, and I went to the beach with Surfaid and did a trash clean up. We found 84 ponds of trash in ONLY 20 minutes ! Pretty cool and the awesome part about it is that it was the day after worldwide water day were all day is a beach clean up with thousands of people. Go on our website!

the childrens muesem did a art project on using recycled materials,and most of the materials were water bottles.
