Ronald McDonald House San Diego Donors and volunteers come together to ensure that San Diego's Ronald McDonald House is here for families with children in medical crisis.

Ronald McDonald House® San Diego cares for families when a child is ill or injured, offering a place to stay, resources and support so they can stay close to their child's care — a home away from home, just steps from the hospital. Each year, we provide lodging to 1,400 families, and thousands more use our Family Care Center during the day for meals, naps, computer access, laundry, showers, and play spaces--all free of charge to family members with hospital identification. We also operate the "School Away from School," an onsite school for the siblings of hospitalized children, in partnership with San Diego Unified School District.

Families stay with us an average of 37 nights, long enough for a holiday to arrive in the middle of treatment.⁠
