Donors and volunteers come together to ensure that San Diego's Ronald McDonald House is here for families with children in medical crisis. Each year, we provide lodging to 1,400 families, and thousands more use our Family Care Center during the day for meals, naps, computer access, laundry, showers, and play spaces--all free of charge to family members with hospital identification. We also operate

the "School Away from School," an onsite school for the siblings of hospitalized children, in partnership with San Diego Unified School District.

When a family arrives in an emergency, the last thing on a parent’s mind is packing a bag. Some of the families we serve arrive with nothing but the clothes on their backs.⁠

This week, we’re asking for new women’s clothing. A fresh change of clothes is more than just fabric—it’s comfort and one less "daily worry" for a parent focusing on their child’s health. 👕🧣⁠

💙 Meet the Babauta-Deleon Guerrero Family 💙⁠

When their youngest daughter Remi was born at just 34 weeks, her family faced every parent's worst nightmare. Remi faced a collapsed lung, chronic lung disease, and months of feeding and respiratory complications, leading her family to travel from Saipan to San Diego for specialized care.⁠

"When we first arrived, we were scared," Remi's mom shared. "But when we found out we could stay at Ronald McDonald House® San Diego, it was a relief."⁠
⁠
The House became a source of comfort and support, helping the family focus on what mattered most: Remi's healing.⁠
⁠
Now, Remi is stable on room air, making incredible progress, and has been cleared to return home to Saipan. ✈️💙⁠
