Sweetwater Camporee

Hello my beloved Sweetwater.
It is with a very sad heart that I am writing you today, because it will be the last time I do it.

Due to the extreme sanitary situation the world is going trough, with the obvious and well known economic consequences, our San Diego Imperial Council had to take very difficult and extreme but needed measures; that is having to let go all the Field Service executives... and that includes me.

So, starting today, and after a great ride of 6.5 years I am no more employed by the Boy Scouts of America. I am thankful to the Lord that allowed me to serve you for a while, I am thankful for all the friendships and all the love and knowledge I have received from you, I am thankful for the memories, and I am thankful or a future.

Please keep supporting council and helping our movement. Please keep working for our youth, because there are very tough times ahead, and they need all of us to to go trough.

Last night at the Quarantineoree leader's Q&A Zoom meeting, it was decided to push the dates and deadline for the event as follows:
Registration Deadline: May 5th
Video submission: May 6th @ midnight
Virtual Zoom Campfire Saturday May 9th at 7pm

This is a special edition of the Jamboree on the Internet (JOTI) organized by World Scouting to help mobilize young people to stay aware and engaged in online citizenship and socialization during a period of isolation.

Hello Sweetwater.

As you know, the social distancing rules have been extended till the end of April by president Trump, so, under that light we need to postpone our 2020 District Camporee.

The new date is August 14th to 16th, still at the same location, (Mataguay)

Enjoy a weekend of fun and fellowship at Sweetwater's  Camporee!  Units can register their youth and adults.  WEBELOS need to be sponsored by a Troop and will need to follow the Guide to Safe Scouting Camping rules.

Hello Sweetwater. We are in need of 25 empty 55gal drums for one of the events at the International Camporee. Those are 30 dlls each, and we were wondering if someone will donate or let us borrow them.
We don't want to spend 750 dlls...
