Children's Day, Children's Day Celebration, & Children's Day Gala:
The Children's Coalition was approached by Children's Day USA to help promote the establishment of Children's Day in San Diego County. However, the California State Senate issued a proclamation that the last Saturday in April should be celebrated Children's Day. Children's Week runs from April 24th to April 30th. As a part of Chil
dren's Day, the Children's Coalition is promoting a Children's Day Celebration that will run for the entire month of April. The Coalition is currently looking for charities to participate in the Celebration by having events during that April period and will promote those events for the charities throughout San Diego County. As the highlight of the Celebration, the Children's Coalition will promote a Children's Day Gala on the eve of Saturday, April 30th. The event will be a black-tie, red-carpet Awards and Musical Gala honoring outstanding individuals and organizations in the service of Children. The Coalition is currently looking for children’s musical groups to perform and establishing the organizing committee for the event. The website for the Celebration is www.ChildrensDayCelebration.com
