Operation Samalama

Operation Samalama Spreading the "if not me, then who..." movement Mission:

To give "putting in the legwork" an entirely new meaning. Louis. II. This is done via:

1.

Through a collaboration with the Travis Manion Foundation and Bullets2Bandages, our hope is to turn one man's journey across the country into a new start for our nation's veterans and the families they have left behind.
-------------------------------------------
A BIT MORE IN DEPTH VERSION FOR THOSE WHO WANT TO KNOW MORE:

I. OPERATION AMERITHON is going to be the documented voyage of one man's j

ourney across the country....solely by foot. Yes, we are talking straight up Forrest Gump style here people. Covering upwards of 30 miles a day, the run begins on March 17th in Dana Point, CA and will continue up the coast to Santa Monica Pier. Then east on route 66 through Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma and up to St. Then splitting off of route 66 continuing East on Route 40. This will leads us through Indiana, Ohio, SW. Pennsylvania, Western Maryland and ending finally in Washington, D.C. (which seemed more than appropriate for the cause)...our Nation's capitol. WHAT ALBIE WILL BE COVERING:

A total of approximately 2800 miles. This will be done by any means possible...mostly running, but walking or crawling if it comes down to it. Whatever will get the job done is what will happen. This is not only a personal challenge for Albie, but in fact possesses a purpose much bigger than himself and the Operation Amerithon crew....

III. THE HIGHER PURPOSE:

Through a collaboration with Bullets2Bandages -(https://www.facebook.com/Bullets2Bandages) - a cause campaign organization that sells homemade jewelry made mostly of empty bullet casings and donates its proceeds to fallen soldiers and their families) - Operation Amerithon will be donating ONE HUNDRED PERCENT of it's profits to:

IV. THE TRAVIS MANION FOUNDATION:(https://www.facebook.com/TravisManionFoundation)
This organization pays homage to the memory of fallen Marine Travis Manion, who was killed by enemy sniper fire during his final patrol mission on Sunday, April 29, 2007, while fighting courageously to defend against an enemy ambush. This organization thrives on the mantra "If not me, then who," and compels individuals to "Honor the Fallen by challenging the living," which is PRECISELY what Operation Amerithon is trying to do here. ALL of the money you donate will go directly to the Foundation whose "mission is to assist our nation's veterans and the families of Fallen Heroes. We will continue the service to community and country exemplified by these Fallen Heroes and veterans. In the spirit of the Fallen, we will foster strength of mind and body to create a generation of future leaders." Challenge Grants for fallen soldiers families to keep the spirit of service and love of country alive for every fallen hero.
2. Pairing wounded and disabled veterans serving Mission Continues Fellowships with families of Fallen Heroes to help keep alive the spirit of service and love of country they exemplified in life. FOR AN EXCELLENT OVERVIEW PLEASE REFER TO: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ECix7kE1wic
