It’s always special to celebrate a residents birthday. Dr. Judith Noach has surpassed this milestone and turned 102, she is officially oldest resident!

Please join us in wishing Judith and a very . May she be blessed with many more years of good health and happiness.

Judith's family shared a few words about her.
Judith Green was born in Lithuania on 8 May 1920. Her family arrived in Cape Town in 1926 and then relocated to Johannesburg where she grew up in Mayfair in a very Jewish community. Judith matriculated from Jeppe Girls High School and qualified as a Medical Doctor at Wits University in 1941.

Judith married Jacob Noach, also a member of the medical profession, in Fordsburg Shul in 1942. They lived in Westcliffe and brought up three children.

Judith practiced medicine for many years in Alexandra Township, caring for disadvantaged members of the community. She loved music, played the piano, and collected art. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and as an avid reader was a member of the Emmerentia Library for many years. She was also a member of the Emmerentia Shul. She enjoyed the outdoors and played bowls regularly.

Judith spent a lot of quality time with her grandchildren. At present, she has five grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Unfortunately, she suffered a stroke in 2009 and has been a resident at Sandringham Gardens for the last 13 years.

Blessings upon the Chev who have kept her going all these years.
We take this opportunity on behalf of our family to thank you all.
