Hello all! We have a heck of a great meeting this month with an in-person speaker. What you miss, you will NEVER LEARN.

The meeting will convene at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at the San Diego Cardiac Center, 3131 Berger Ave., 2d Floor, San Diego, CA 92123.

Our in-person speaker will be Melissa McLenon, DNP, ACNP-BC, a member of the heart failure team at UCSD medical. She has been a Nurse Practitioner for over 20 years. She received her BSB from the University of Kentucky, her MS from the University of Maryland, and her doctorate in nursing from the University of Texas. She also has been recognized by the American Heart Association as a Woman of Impact. Her talk will discuss gender differences in heart attack and heart failure symptoms. Hello all! We have a heck of a great meeting this month with an in-person speaker. Attendance is a MUST. What you miss, you will NEVER LEARN.

The meeting will convene at 1::00 p.m. on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at the San Diego Cardiac Center, 3131 Berger Ave., 2d Floor, San Diego, CA 92123.

Our speaker will be Alyssa Seymore, BSN,RN,CCRN, who presently is the Navigator of the Outpatient Congenital Heart Disease group at UCSD medical.center. She received her BSN at the University of Delaware. She then trained as a pediatric critical care nurse at Children's Hospital in Philadelphia. Luckily for us, she brought her skills to Rady's Children's Hospital in San Diego 14 years ago! She then brought her skills to UCSG last January. we are HONORED to have her as a speaker.

In an effort to make out meetings better suited to your needs please email me your responses to the following. Thanks.

1. Do you prefer a date other than the second Saturday of the month?
2. Do you prefer a start time different than 10:00 a.m.?
3. Would a later start time be better, such as 1:00 p.m., which will be the start time of our February 14th meeting because of a scheduling conflict?
4. Do you prefer only virtual Zoom meetings, or shall we continue with in-person meetings?
5. Do you prefer that we have in-person speakers?
6. Do you like our meeting format where we share our own war stories among ourselves during the first hour and then turn to the speaker?
