Southern California Association of Violin Makers Southern California Association of Violin Makers - Monthly meeting and bulletins to further the development of the art. The Association was founded by Harry S.

The Southern California Association of Violin Makers is a nonprofit organization devoted to advancing the art of violin making. Wake in San Diego in 1964 and has held monthly meetings ever since. There are now about 350 members. Regular meetings are held at 12:30 p.m. on the first Sunday of each month at either our San Diego location or our Los Angeles area location and guests are always welcome.

Meetings alternate monthly between these locations. The Association publishes a monthly Bulletin which reports on subjects presented at meetings and frequently contains practical articles that are helpful to both beginning and advanced violin makers. Theoretical topics are also presented. Our members are encouraged to contribute to the Bulletin. The Association occasionally gives exhibits, workshops, and lectures, and participates in concerts.
