FUNDRAISER FOR LILO. 2 yr-old Lilo has juvenile cataracts in both eyes and very limited vision. At best he can see shadows and vague shapes. We have had him evaluated at the Eye Clinic for Animals and he is a good candidate for cataract removal which would enable him to see like any other young dog. The surgery is expensive, approximately $9000, so we are asking for donations for Lilo's surgery. All donations, even small ones, can help. Donations are tax deductible as SDSR is a 501(c)3 non-profit. FOSTER HOME NEEDED. Lilo needs a foster home. Lilo is about 2 yrs-old and has very limited vision due to juvenile cataracts. We will be doing a fundraiser soon to raise the money for the surgery he needs but he needs a foster spot with an experienced dog owner who is home a lot. He is currently on some eye drops, no big deal, but when he has the surgery, he will have a week or two of intensive eye drops and follow up visits with the eye clinic in Kearney Mesa (right off the 163), so needs to be a local home. Little Lilo wants to be able to chase his toys like a normal dog and we are committed to getting him the help he needs but we do not have a foster spot for him going forward.
