Respected for pioneering junior golf programs since 1952, the San Diego County Junior Golf Association in 2012 celebrates 60 years of commitment to enriching the lives of youth through the game of golf. With this opportunity to reflect on our long-standing success in positively influencing thousands of young people who have participated in Junior Golf, the Association is

forging forward for the next 60 years. Junior Golf has helped influence the lives of thousands of San Diegans and many generations of families who credit their early, but lasting Association experience with later success as business and civic leaders, parents, and individual citizens. It is the principles they learned then that continue to influence their lives today.

We are excited to announce the establishment of the SDJGA Emerald Golf Development Scholarship Fund created by PGA Members John & Holly Kennedy. Through their Emerald Golf Development Pathway, an annual commitment of $20,000 has been designated to further support the SDJGA mission and ensure access to competitive opportunities for San Diego junior golfers. 🏆 The Golf Mart Junior Championship 11-12 wrapped up at Balboa Park Golf Club, and these juniors showed up ready to compete.

On the boys side, Ezra Lee took home the title after rounds of 79 and 73, finishing at +8. On the girls side, Teagan Tudla put together an awesome performance, going 72 and 71 to finish at -1 and claim the championship.

Big congrats to all of our players for a great weekend of golf, and thank you to The Golf Mart and for helping make this event possible.

The Golf Mart Junior Championship series continues May 16-17 at Twin Oaks Golf Course with the 13-14 and 15-18 divisions, plus the 8-U division on May 16 and 9-10 division on May 17.

The 15–18 division brought serious competition to the Mike Riley Tournament ⛳🔥

Every group out there was grinding, battling tough pins, and pushing each other all day long. That’s what we love to see.

In the end, Brady Neal and Aubrey Hilgers rose to the top. Brady capped off a hard fought tournament with a clutch birdie on the second playoff hole to secure the win!

So many great rounds, tight scoreboards, and competitive moments throughout the field. Proud of every player who stepped up, stayed composed, and represented SDJGA the right way.
