🚨 URGENT: Mariachi Summer Camp Enrollment Is Open! 🚨

Do you know a student who just finished 7th or 8th grade at a San Diego Unified School District school?

This Mariachi Camp is open to continuing violin, guitar, trumpet, and singing/vocal students who want to grow their music skills this summer.

Students will learn and practice:

🎻 Violin, guitar, and trumpet skills
🎤 Mariachi vocals and performance
🎶 Songs, chords, scales, bass lines, and vocal exercises
✍️ Songwriting, lyrics, music theory, and notation
🤝 Collaboration, teamwork, and ensemble playing

Students should have some experience with violin, trumpet, guitar, or singing and bring their own instrument checked out from their school music department for the summer.

A valid SDUSD student ID number is required for final enrollment.

This camp is a great opportunity for students to build confidence, connect with Mariachi music, and learn from kind, experienced teachers in a fun and supportive environment.

Spots may be limited — enroll as soon as possible!

This Mariachi camp for continuing Violin, Guitar, and Trumpet Players and Singing/Vocals. It is open to all students who just finished 7th or 8th grade during the 2025-2026 school year at a San Diego Unified School District school. A valid student ID number is required for final enrollment.

SD Youth Symphony - Mira Mesa Band and Orchestra Summer Intensive

Rainforest Art Project- Mosaic Makers

Within two weeks you’ll build an extremely long-lasting mosaic artwork, that will survive any harsh weather conditions. Working alongside experienced public art professionals, students will collaborate to create a unique public mosaic art piece that will be installed on-camps at CPMA.

City Heights Music School - Mariachi

If you have some experience with violin, trumpet, or guitar and a curiosity for Mariachi this camp is for you! Whether you know a little or even a lot, there’s room here for everyone. If your interest is not instrumental, we offer mariachi voice; vocal production, theory, song writing, and performance plus connections to history and art! Your kind, experienced teachers will teach songs, chords, bass lines, scales, and vocal exercises to enrich your musical abilities, and you will be able to jam, and play complementary musical parts together. We please ask that you bring your own instruments, checked out for the summer from your school's music department.

You’ll learn choreography, collaborate with friends, and even get a behind-the-scenes look at college dance programs—what they’re like and what it takes to be part of one.
