37th Annual Wildlife in Art Exhibition & Open Call
Application Deadline: October 15, 2026 | 12 PM PDT
La Mesa | Exhibition: October 27–December 2

Artists are invited to celebrate the beauty of the natural world in the Foothills Art Association’s 37th annual Wildlife in Art juried exhibition. Original works in oil, acrylic, watercolor, scratchboard, and non-functional sculpture are welcome, with wild creatures as the primary focus.
Up to four entries may be submitted, with awards totaling approximately $2,500 in cash and merchandise. The exhibition will be juried by San Diego wildlife artist Chelsea Paulus.

Artists are invited to explore the everyday artifacts of contemporary life in Modern Relics—from receipts and broken chargers to VHS tapes, sneakers, screenshots, and the things we simply refuse to throw away. The exhibition asks artists to consider what objects from our current lives might become discarded, outdated, or irrelevant in the future.
