Happy 117th Founders’ Day, Sisters of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®!
On this day, January 15th, 1908, nine visionary women at Howard University sparked a sisterhood that has grown into a global force for good.
From that first meeting in Miner Hall to today, we proudly as a sisterhood of over 360,000 members across 12 nations, including the U.S., Bahamas, Bermuda, Canada, UAE, Germany, Japan, Liberia, Nigeria, South Korea, South Africa, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
As we celebrate under the 2022-2026 Administration, and the theme ‘Soaring to Greater Heights of Service and Sisterhood,’ we honor the enduring legacy of our Founders, and continue to impact our communities globally.
