40 years. One constant. 🙌
We'll let Jim tell it in his own words:
"Over my four-decade career in Supply Chain Management, my companies and positions have changed, but one constant has been the San Diego ASCM Chapter.
I joined the SDSU student chapter of APICS in 1984, and the San Diego Century Chapter the following year. Professional development was a career goal, so I volunteered to serve on the chapter's Board of Directors and, in 1991, was elected President. I gained valuable leadership skills and met several mentors who offered me career-enhancing opportunities in their companies.
I took advantage of the Association's educational offerings, earning my CPIM-F, CIRM, and CSCP certifications, which were key differentiators that helped me land numerous positions and promotions. Teaching for the Chapter became a passion, and I'm proud to have been a long-time instructor in the certification programs.
Being selected to speak at numerous Association conferences strengthened my workplace communication skills. I'm honored to be speaking at the 2026 San Diego Supply Chain Conference in May.
I know my career was greatly enhanced by the benefits that membership and involvement with the San Diego ASCM Chapter provided. It was an enduring thread throughout my working years, and even though I'm retired, I'll maintain my membership — because who knows what the next chapter might be."

Jim is taking the stage at the 2026 San Diego Supply Chain Conference on May 8th, presenting "Breaking Down Silos: Using the 3NoK Framework to Drive Cross-Functional Excellence."
This is what 40 years of professional community looks like. We're honored to have you, Jim. 🎤
