ALL GOOD THINGS ...
To Our Valued Customers, Cherished Donors and Many Friends:
It is with heavy hearts we announce that The Tomorrow Project - Helping Women Create Futures Today - will be closing its doors Friday June 29, 2018.
This creative and dynamic program has helped hundreds of women over the years, giving marginalized and poor women the opportunity to become self-reliant and self-sustaining through our job-readiness training, in our assembly and product sales environment. Through the process of worthy work at The Tomorrow Project, women have gained self-esteem, restructured their lives in order to reunite with family, improve their housing, increase their incomes, enroll in school and training programs, seek recovery services and in some cases, find full time sustainable employment.
This decision has come for several reasons, including the loss of our lease, the changes in the labor code that alters are ability to pay the women a training stipend as they learn how to be employable, and the gradual diminishing of our customer base (very few of us cook at home anymore!). While work readiness training is always a needed commodity for the homeless, we have fewer and fewer women coming to us for this service. Their needs are different; The Tomorrow Project is not as relevant as it has been.
We do have some wonderful products still on our shelves and will be more than happy to offer them to you for a suggested donation, as we can no longer sell them. We are accepting donations for any of the remaining soup products and rubs, as listed here:
- Soup Products: 7-Spice Bean Soup, Curry Confetti Soup Mix, Spicy Split Pea Soup Mix, and Spicy Rice Quinoa Soup Mix, each for a suggestion donation of $8.00 each.
- One rice product: Shiitake Almond Rice Medley for the suggested donation of $7.00
- Spicy Rub Mixes are: Cabo San Lucas Carne Asada Spice Rub, Indonesian Curry Spice Rub, Tropical Lime Pink Peppercorn Spice Mix for a suggestion donation of $5.00 each, or the Spice Mix Trio for a suggestion donation of $14.50

Sincerely,
Martha Ranson, Department Director
