This win belongs to our community. Gracias to everyone who showed up.
Thank you to for authoring this bill and fighting for our communities. Thank you for championing this from day one. And thank you to every single volunteer who collected signatures, made calls, and showed up at their church, their school, their kitchen table.
AB 2465 now moves to the Senate. The fight continues — stay connected.

Tomorrow, we gather to pray, to listen, and to bear witness to what is happening in our own neighborhoods. Fathers taken from their families. Owners taken from their businesses. Neighbors taken from their homes.

More than 16,000 of our neighbors have been taken from San Diego County since January of last year. The deportations didn’t stop. The families didn’t stop hurting. And we will not stop showing up.

Join us at 7:30 PM at Julian Ave & Cesar E. Chavez Parkway as we stand together in solidarity with immigrant families across San Diego.
All are welcome. 🕯️

Mañana, salimos a nuestras calles.

AB 2465 just passed the Appropriations Committee. 🎉Thanks to for authoring this bill and drawing a clear moral line: no taxpayer dollars for corporations that profit from detaining our neighbors.
Now we need 54 votes on the Assembly floor before May 26. Call your Assemblymember today and tell them to vote YES on AB 2465. Link in bio to find your rep.

This morning we accompanied one of our own to a court date that has been years in the making. He is a man who has been part of Christ the King Catholic Church for 25 years, who has stood in front of our community more than once to share his story with courage, and who has been an active part of our organization through all of it.

There was so much warmth inside and outside the court despite the weight of everything. Our calling as an organization is to organize churches to come together, pray together, and accompany people so that no one has to face these moments alone.

This past Sunday over 500 parishioners of Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish signed Mother’s Day cards asking our State Assembly Member (and member of OLG parish!) to use his power and relationships to influence fellow Assembly Members, particularly members of the Appropriations Committee, to support AB 2465 and AB 1633, which will discourage private companies from partnering with Federal Immigration enforcement. Here parishioners Catia Robles, Javier Diego Jacinto, and pastor Fr Scott Santarosa, SJ deliver the 500 cards to his Chula Vista staff member Ernesto Castañeda. May we truly put our faith in action and make our community more just and safe for immigrants!
