Congratulations to Giving Network, RoboThink Robotics for kids 7-11 years
A grant of $4,000 will support the participation of 4S Rach-Del Sur community children in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) by providing fun, hands-on engineering educational programs in Robotics. Five camps (4-days per camp) will be executed during vacation periods in the 4S Ranch-Del Sur community that can accommodate up to a total of 100 students. Each day kids will learn how to build and control robots, following step-by- step instructions. They will continue their learning by improving, fixing, customizing, and playing with their cool robotic creations.

Congratulations to Reading Legacies,
A grant of $5,000 will contribute to the development and love of reading for over 50 youth and 200 children in the 4S Ranch Del Sur area. Youth from throughout the county are being trained to record themselves reading aloud and engaging in an early literacy activity on video. The youth are coached
and submit their videos to Reading Legacies. Once edited and approved, the videos are forwarded to childcare centers who show them to the children and forward them home to their families. The youth are provided read aloud tips, booklists, and mentoring from Reading Legacies staff. Preschool children are provided with new books for their homes. As COVID restrictions continue to be lifted the program will transition from a video only model to a hybrid model combining in-person readings and video recordings.

Congratulations to Boys & Girls Club of Greater San Diego, 4S Ranch Junior Staff Program!!!!
A grant of $5,000 will enable the 4S Ranch Junior Staff Program to teach at least 20 members throughout the year skills that they will be able to take into their schooling and careers. The program includes weekly meetings that teach members skills to assist with planning monthly activities and one annual event for the entire club, two tours at local colleges or universities, and four guest speakers that will speak to the Junior Leaders about their careers. The Junior Leaders program will run in two timelines, during the school year and during summer camp.

Congratulations to our first Grantees of the night...The running club!! Which helps support all of our local elementary schools!

PUSD Running Club Sponsorships, Running Clubs for the 4S Ranch/Del Sur Elementary Schools
A grant of $1,500 will help purchase small prizes and incentives for the Running Clubs in all four elementary schools in 4S Ranch and Del Sur -- Design36Campus, Del Sur, Monterey Ridge, and Stone Ranch Elementary Schools. This program encompasses every child in 4S Ranch and Del Sur who attends a public school. It addresses, in a direct and effective manner, the need to involve the children in ongoing physical activities, to improve their fitness, to establish healthy habits for life. And coming out the pandemic, it has the added goal of resocializing and “re-activating” children who have been in lock-down.
