Ryan Sigdestad painted address numbers for the SRCA Community Center. Really helpful for first responders to see an address as one on the home sometimes is difficult to see. If anyone is looking to get their curb address painted, I highly recommend Rylan! He’s a local college student who did a great job on mine. He was professional, affordable, and the finished product looks great. His curb numbers are $35, and he’s only in town for only three more weeks, so if you’re interested, send him a text at (858) 740-9658!

Overnight, several residents reported to SDPD an illegal fireworks display being set off at Jerabek Park.

An unknown number of people set off a large display of fireworks in the parking lot near the basketball courts.

When SDPD officers arrived in the area, everyone appeared to have already left, except for one person who left the area on an e-motorcycle, fleeing from officers at a high rate of speed. SDPD’s helicopter responded to search the area for the e-motorcycle rider who took off from the officers, but both the helicopter and ground units were unsuccessful in locating them.

All that was left behind was an empty box of 49 fireworks as well as the wrapper and partial tubing of another 16 fireworks that had been lit. (65 Fireworks in total)

The SRCA will work with SDPD on any follow-up necessary related to this incident.
