“Millions of taxpayer dollars are being spent without meaningful oversight or accountability,” Shaheen wrote in her letter. “And speed and deterrence are being prioritized over due process and respect for human rights.”
Good to know what our taxpayer monies are being spent on!

The Trump administration spent over $40 million last year to deport hundreds of migrants to countries where they’d never been, a report from Senate Democrats says.

Just when you thought you had watched too many conspiracy theory movies.....Please be aware that this administration has undisclosed malevolent purposes behind what they tell us is their purposes. It's not just looking for the worst criminals, but its surveillance of people who criticize the Administration on social media, using facial recognition technology to identify US citizens without their consent, and other policies and practices. Although it's terrifying to read, the article gives me some comfort that ICE and other agencies are just as disgusted as we are and are leaving in droves and speaking out!

"The ICE crackdown isn’t just about immigration; it’s about gathering intelligence... on antifa, on the radical left... and anyone else they consider terrorists," said journalist Ken Klippenstein.

Yes, this is happening in our own backyard now. And Kudos to each South Park resident who stood up and resisted the presence and violent acts of ICE! ICE in their ski masks like nefarious drug cartel members or extremist Islamic groups who our government constantly demonizes. Has the US now become just like these insidious evil groups? STAND UP AND RESIST!

The Trump administration has devised plans to spend up to $250 million earmarked for foreign assistance to fund instead the removal and return of people from active conflict zones, including 700,000 Ukrainian and Haitian migrants who fled to the United States amid extreme, ongoing violence back home, according to draft internal documents reviewed by The Washington Post. I |was just notified by ICE that one of my Yemeni clients was going to be deported back to Yemen. I was aghast and said " You are sending him back to a place the US is actively bombing as we speak???"
And the fact they are using funds earmarked for foreign aid to do this is just DISGUSTING.

Documents reviewed by The Post call for leveraging foreign assistance accounts to return migrants to conflict-afflicted nations, even as officials seek to cut such spending.

Our worst nightmare proven true. That the speed of these expedited removals (no due process given before a court) would cause mistakes on who was sent to El Salvador's worst prison. Now the governments saying they can't get him back!!!!! How many more mistakes were made?

Kilmar Abrego Garcia "was removed to El Salvador because of an administrative error," a Monday court filing said.

It's great when someone you really admire gets recognized! Pedro has been with American Friends for a while and has added so much to our immigration work here at the border in San Diego and Imperial Counties. Now that we immigrant attorneys all have a target on our back, we stand in solidarity!

Pedro Rios and three other artists are participating in an exhibition at the Bonita Museum called "Friendship Park, Take Amistad on the Road," which runs through March 28.

The Senate passed a budget with $350 BILLION just for immigration enforcement and deportation. "This budget fails to impose any Constitutionally guaranteed guardrails or protections on President Trump's mass deportation targets. Even worse, it focuses solely on enforcement and deportation instead of improving our archaic immigration laws." WE MUST DEMAND OUR HOUSE REPRESENTATIVES NOT TO PASS THIS!

The legislation starts Republicans’ budget reconciliation process but intensifies an intraparty feud with the House GOP.
