So today was a great day. It started atound 9am setting up the sign-in at the first ever Sunshine Little League Alumni ...

So today was a great day. It started atound 9am setting up the sign-in at the first ever Sunshine Little League Alumni Day. Slowly we began to see some familiar faces show up and offer a handshake as well as quickly contributing to the "pass the hat" fundraiser for the league. Names from the list include Cy Morgan, Garry Harris, George Rios, Kevin Wiggins, Mike Soltero, Gonzalo Guerra, Johnny Brawley, Doug Kaiser, Jared Stutts, Eric Clark, Stephen Pierce, Steve Esquibel, Kevin Fay, Paul Koury, Mike Hyatt, Anthony Garcia, Danette Love, Lance Love, Todd Russell, Troy Russell, Paul Longworth, Wally Vigil, Rosie Cooksey, and Alphonso Perez Jr.

Friends from the past got reacquainted as if 40 years ago was just yesterday. The parents of the current players showed nothing but interest, respect and appreciation for us coming out to help a struggling league. We were able to raise $1150 and hand every dollar over to the league. That was awesome folks.

Thanks to those who were there today. I hope you can share with your Sunshine friends who weren't able to make it today, to stay tuned for the next Alumni event.
