BEEPsandiego BEEP San Diego is dedicated to educating and advocating for school-age youth as meaningful participants, leaders and decision-makers of the built environment.

The Built Environment Education Program (BEEP) is an award winning program with roots in the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and born of the San Diego Architectural Foundation (SDAF) that has evolved into an independent organization, BEEP San Diego, with a Steering Committee comprised of leadership and representatives from the American Planning Association (APA) San Diego Section, the AIA San Diego Chapter, SDAF, and the University of California, San Diego.

BEEP San Diego is now a Collaborator on www.designcollab.org. Be sure to check out our page and the entire site for updates on BEEP SD and other built environment professional, non-profit, and education organizations. There is an event calendar, posts, and blogs. I will do my best to keep all BEEP San Diego events, happenings, and volunteer opportunities updated! Viewing is free - if you would like to post comments to the DesignCollab site, including on BEEP San Diego events, there is a annual subscription fee of $12. This will be a great resource to further connect and sync organizations and interested members and the public.

Recently the students worked with a BEEP San Diego volunteer team on developing concepts for public art on their campus. The students worked in groups; each group presented their concept and the class voted on their favorite concept.
