Starting a new life in another country is never easy. Filipino immigrants often leave behind their families, familiar communities, and established careers. They must adjust to a different culture, overcome language and financial challenges, and sometimes accept several jobs to build a stable life. Yet through perseverance, resourcefulness, and hard work, they continue moving forward. Jean represents that enduring Filipino spirit.
As an entertainer, she shares the joy of Filipino music and culture. As a small entrepreneur, she transforms simple ingredients—sticky rice, coconut milk, banana leaves, and latik—into suman made with patience, tradition, and love.
